Occupying the entire ground floor of the Centenary Galleries and the main Gallery building, Your Collection brings together Indigenous and non-Indigenous art, craft and design from international, national and Western Australian contexts in new conversations.

to 8 Aug AC/DC Australia's Family Jewels Exhibitions|Displays
This is the first and only fully endorsed exhibition to bring to life the history, creativity and power of one of the world's greatest bands, and to link this history to the experience of their music. The exhibition was inspired by the band's own mantra – that they have only ever played 'good, hard rock and roll' – and by their extraordinarily productive work ethic that includes over 18 original albums and 60 substantial tours to every part of the world. This celebratory exhibition is packed with over 400 items, including photographs, instruments, over 35 years of gig posters from shows staged around the world, programmes and show tickets, letters and lyrics, personal memorabilia and costumes. The extremely rare costumes include one of Angus Young's schoolboy outfits and the home sewn 'Super Ang' costume, complete with gold and red satin cape dating from 1975. Also on display are Bon Scott's own Highway to Hell sweatshirt and his last leather jacket.

remix showcases the creativity of some twenty contemporary Western Australian artists of diverse backgrounds, age and experience. The exhibition includes a broad mix of media with painting, sculpture, design, photography and filmic work, most of it recently created by the artists and representing some of the most compelling examples of contemporary practice by Western Australian artists.

The crime scene is a zoo, a security guard has been shot dead and a prized white rhino has been stolen. Can you help solve this crime? Scitech's latest exhibition, Whodunit? allows visitors, armed with a crime file, to use forensic science such as finger-printing, chromatography, autopsies, footprints and DNA samples to gather evidence and solve this murder mystery.

Set in the late 1950s in the Manhattan studio of the great Abstract Expressionist artist, Mark Rothko, is a sizzling, intellectually thrilling two-character drama. The play follows the initiation of Ken, a newly hired assistant, into the uncompromising aesthetic of Rothko (1903 - 1970), who at that time was working on a commissioned series of paintings for the new Four Seasons restaurant. Was this well-paying commission a pathetic sell out that would undermine his creative soul? Or a rare chance to make superficial suits choke on their food without their really knowing why? Rothko's dilemma with the Four Season's murals is a conundrum that faces every artist who wants to make a living.

WASO's Gala celebrates the very best of British music in all its majesty and splendour. PiP's new show brings him back to magic, his passion to which he has put his own unique comedic twist. He has a new assistant but things aren't running as smoothly as they should be. She tries to get her time in the limelight and PiP tries to keep it all together resulting in an hilarious night of laughs. The amazing magic may well happen in your hands as PiP invites audience members on stage to help. We promise he won't make you dance like Ricky Martin this time though.

Dramatic, vulnerable, consoling, inspiring, sublime: Schubert's String Quintet is classical music at its most transcendent. Bach's Musical Offering, an ingenious response to a musical challenge from Frederick the Great, is interwoven with Webern's exquisite cello miniatures and Stravinsky's extraordinary chamber music in this performance by the Australian Chamber Orchestra's Principal musicians.

Meanwhile, Violet's father prepares to sell their family home and possessions, stirring up memories with the dust. Set in a small rural West Australian town in the late 1980's and 1990's, this is the world premiere of an atmospheric, evocative and tender new play that shows a promising emerging talent in playwright Anna Houston.

26-27 Aug WASO: Bach and Bruchner Music|Concerts
Bach and Bruckner - a classic combination. Two spiritual composers at the height of their powers in two majestic works. WASO's Principal Flute Andrew Nicholson shines in Bach's second suite. Paul Daniel leads the Orchestra in Bruckner's mighty Symphony No.7, one of his great symphonic essays and featuring the haunting sound of the rarely heard Wagner tubas.

25-28 Aug Bangarra Dance Theatre: Belong Theatre|Dance|Film
Rekindling Indigenous culture, the internationally acclaimed Bangarra Dance Theatre has created Belong, a double bill featuring two new dance theatre pieces: ID by Artistic Director Stephen Page and About by dancer and choreographer Elma Kris.
